I didn't try yet in php4.x environment.
But fckeditor.php have a function for auto selecting different php environments.

Like this:
PHP:
if ( !function_exists('version_compare') || version_compare( phpversion(), '5', '<' ) )
    include_once( 'fckeditor_php4.php' ) ;
else
    include_once( 'fckeditor_php5.php' ) ;   


I think it's running within php4.x environments too.

Got this error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined method FCKeditor::getHtml() in /public_html/includes/classes/class.wysiwyg.php  on line 114


EDIT:

LOL found the classes file update :)
